Early Learning Programs

The early years of childhood form the basis of intelligence, personality, social behavior, and capacity to learn as an adult. The early years matter because hundreds of connections in the brain are being formed every second! These connections build the brain and impact learning, behavior and health. Children who have Early Childhood/Preschool experiences enter kindergarten with improved school performance, higher math and language abilities; sharpened thinking/attention skills, and stronger interactions with peers and fewer behavior problems. Get ready for kindergarten with South St. Paul Early Learning!

Our Programs

Early Childhood Family Education (ECFE) classes are scheduled throughout the day and evenings to better fit families’ busy schedules. We offer classes that are semester long classes that give parents and children the opportunity to build relationships, and learn helpful parenting strategies.

Early Childhood Screening at age three give you free personalized information about your child’s learning and growth as well as information about all of the programs and services that could benefit your family during these early years.

Preschool classes for 3-5 year olds are located at both of our elementary school sites. Childcare is available on-site before and after Preschool, as is bussing for families who qualify.

South St. Paul Schools are committed to early learning as a foundation for long-term success for children. Thanks for choosing us!

Our Mission
